I digress.
Back to the Quark. The quark in this lunch is Lemon Quark from Spring Hill Cheese Co. in Petaluma, Ca. It is a German style cream cheese and the Spring Hill website states that it is made with Meyer lemon zest and a TOUCH OF sugar. Just a touch. I don't believe it. It just tastes too good, like lemon cheesecake meets sweetened ricotta. I could eat it by the spoonful, and I do, I just pop a strawberry into my mouth after in the hopes of alleviating the guilt.
Organic strawberries stuffed with Lemon Quark (both from the Farmer's Market and stored in lidded laptop lunch container); Crunchy, salt-free, organic almond butter on Mi-Del whole wheat graham crackers (wrapped in a wrap-n-mat, shown underneath); organic banana (from god knows where); Sigg bottle filled with Silk soymilk.
waste generated: none :)

I've never heard for Quark, but you've pretty much sold me. How do you like the Sigg bottle?
Try the quark - you won't regret it!
RE: Sigg Bottles: I have a few and I love them. They are clean, leave no off taste in your drinks and never have any lingering odor (you can fill it with tomato juice and it washes right out). That said, they do have a few drawbacks. They are pretty, until you drop them a few times on concrete and then they dent and the paint flakes off. I have friends who have never dented theirs (so I think I'm just hard on mine). Also, the sip/sport top is great for the kids but too creepy for an adult (like sipping on a mannequin nipple - -not that I've tried this). You can buy extra screw off tops (some come with the sport top), and seals separately. . .a feature I love because you don't have to toss the whole bottle when the top gets lost or grimy or whatever.

Cute little strawberries! I haven't heard of Quark before. I must try this. Thanks!
